Bar Plugs

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Wow, look at that price.

I was checking out some plugs that you can use a wrench to expand so they stay put. I'm thinking those might be worth the extra cost.

What's wrong with the ones that come with the tape?

From the maximum I'm willing to pay for something otherwise included is the amount for these:

They come in a bunch of colors abit significantly heavier than cheapo plasticy ones but will last you a lifetime.

Those classy carbon ones might crack eventually and you'll be SOL on $50 odd dollars...

I'm only sort-joking. I'm fredly enough that I'm thinking about adding one of these!

Sooner or later a pro is going to get caught out from behind and will want one of these. Then we'll all want one.

I actually bought a bike with those!^
Yes it was an older man's being a 'nago dream.
They're in a drawer in my garage somewhere right alongside a couple sets of barplug rear lights.

When the ones that come with the tape fall out and get lost, I replace them with Velox plugs.

I had this with my CAAD10:

The expander plug was nice, but a bit heavy for my taste.

I'm sticking with the plugs that came with the fi'zi:k tape.

Velo Orange is the best ever example of this style. On both my bikes.

That thing looks dangerous. I have seen the result of no plug taking a skin core sample, I would not want a dagger like that in me.

No doubt the Schmolke are the end-all-be-all, but I wanted to have a more polished, refined look, so I went with One-10 carbon plugs, which have just a decorative carbon insert under gloss, and are otherwise plain plastic. Pricing is commensurately lower. The gloss sheen suits my bike better than the pure race matte/raw carbon look of the Schmolkes.

I have a molteni orange accent theme on my bike and I ordered the Purely Custom end caps. They are nice, but I am looking for an upgrade. Any suggestions for someone making orangish end caps?

Maybe you could get some with a turn signal to replace those with
