How have we got to the point where peeps believe this crazy stuff. We now have a alternative reality where you can be sold anything.

One could, of course test for antibodies. It may be non-specific on when the disease occurred. But, if negative, it would indicate that she was unlikely involved (noting, of course, false negatives, especially after a year)..
Are the soldiers tested for PEDs? Are the blood samples archived? Who has control of them? That would give a lot of useful information.

Oh, they're wanting to put blame back on the Americans and Donald Trump.
I had heard about The Military World Games Theory quite some time ago.
I hadn't made the connection with a cyclist.

For all our puffery, unfortunately our pandemic surveillance seems to be lacking. So we might never know if COVID had been spreading last fall.
However, I think the pandemic growth curves seem to indicate late January/February origins in the USA, with the virus hitting the West from Asia, and the East from Europe.

Well if there is one thing that we know, the USA couldn't be the source of Coronavirus back in October, because as has been ably demonstrated, it would have run rampant through the US military and then the general population way before it actually did.... so like most conspiracy theories, the application of even a modicum of logic kicks it to the kerb.

I've come to the conclusion that the first SARS pandemic (2002-2004) followed the pattern of most zombie and apocalyptic movies and infected virtually everyone on the planet. But rather than developing respiratory illnesses, some people's neurological systems were attacked, resulting in a massive outbreak of irrational paranoia.
Rather than dying, the zombies are among us, spewing nonsense online and throughout the media, in the same way fungus spores propagate. And, akin to the book Pontypool Changes Everything and movie adaptation Pontypool, the infection is more or less dormant until triggered by keywords and phrases that provoke certain areas of the brain.
IOW, we're in the midst of the zombie apocalypse. It just didn't turn out quite as expected. Rather than literally eating brains or flesh, the zombies are feeding on minds.

I believe the psychic vampires are multiplying and since I’m having a bout of middle age insomnia since I’m still awake. I’m primed to get suckered into a conspiracy theory. Do they still have those late night psychic hotlines? Or was that an early pre internet phenomenon?

In more ways than one.
The older I get, and the more I see, more more I've had to reconsider my youthful idealistic notions of individualism and free will.
It appears that most humans are little more than programmable meat puppets. And the relative handful of people who realize this still struggle to actually live and consistently act as rational individuals with free will.

Turned off Ground Zero again this time the Seattle space needle shot out some mind control cloud on New Years. I am listen to the BBC on NPR and it’s like watching paint dry but at least it stays in reality.
