At least, I think so. Anyone else?

Maybe if Lance was pedaling through Zombieland.

Matthew McConaughey, maybe. He's more versatile and can play intense and unlikeable characters, and can shift between being charming and menacing in the same movie. Closer to Armstrong's physique and facial characteristics too. And he knows Lance so he'd bring some insight into the character.

Woody Harrelson has gotten into a rut of riffing on goons and stoners without really getting into any character. Even he couldn't make Zombieland fun to watch.

Joaquin Phoenix, Robert Downey Jr., wayyyyy better actors....and Phoenix is a beast in any role he plays....christian bale is fantastic character actor. Maybe even Ben Foster........all better that hollyweird ham Matthew McConaughey. Woddy Harrelson might be a little long in the tooth but he is a great actor, dont hrink so watch the people vs Larry flint or recently Highwaymen with costner...all my humble opinions of course.

Matthew McConaughey is too gregarious and personable to play Lance Armstrong IMHO. Lance is a different personality.

There's a lot more to Matthew McConaughey than those amiable, folksy characters. He can play manipulative creeps really well. Check out Frailty, Mud, Wolf of Wall Street and others. He could easily play a complex character like Lance Armstrong. Heck, he knows Armstrong. He probably realizes he isn't much different from Armstrong, other than crucial choices in his career. He's probably been working on that character for years, just waiting for the right project.

I think most of those guys, with the possible exception of Ben Foster, might be too old to play Lance.
Woody Harrelson might have ten or fifteen years on Lance and Kevin Bacon gotta be in his sixties, right?
Maybe they can play Lance as an older guy. But who’s looking for that?
We need somebody can play Lance as a younger man, at least imo.

I think I would rather see a movie about Major Taylor than Lance Armstrong. The Taylor movie would not have near as much drama, though. We don't know near as much about his life as we do Lance's. We've read Lance's books.
