Saturday Morning Cartoons... Back in 2021!
I'm so excited... MeTV announced that they'll be airing 3 hours of cartoons on Saturday mornings, starting in January of 2021...

Being a child of the '80s, my favorite day of the week was Saturday morning where I'd plop-down in front of the TV and watch cartoons. Of which, it's made me a little sad that kids these days have no such thing (w/o paid programming). At the ripe-old-age of 46, I plan on watching cartoons again in 2021 thanks to MeTV

Fantastic! Thank you for the news. As a child of the 1970s, I still turn on the TV on Saturday mornings in the hopes that I'll see an old WB cartoon or something. I know where I'll be Saturday mornings!

I'll be interested to see if they play the older ones, with anvils falling on someone's head, or a hunting rifle/shotgun blowing the beak off Daffy's face. Cartoon violence was the best, and the removal of old cartoons to "protect the fragile minds" of children was the beginning of stupidity in schools that led to a kid being sent home because he drew a facsimile of a handgun.

One cartoon that bothers me a bit is Bugs Bunny's race with the tortoise. I think it's a funny cartoon with the exception of the end where three of Bugs' cohorts shoot themselves in the head because the tortoise wins. Yikes.

I guess that makes me a little bit of a hypocrite because I've stopped watching TV for the most part due to all the graphic violence on so many TV shows, yet I love old cartoons.
