No, the hygiene hypothesis is that as we live in a more sterile environment now, we don't get exposed to all the pathogens that we need to at the correct time, and thus, have a neutered immune response. Basically, the more filth you live in, the better your immune response is!

I remember when my American passport would get me in pretty much anywhere. But now we have generated so many nut cases that It has spoiled all that. I think when the world sees gun toters parading with Trump flags on their pickups we don’t look so desirable. These people who are so proud of their lack of education doesn’t help either. They have flushed the American dream right down the toilet in their need for crappy beer and cheap gas. Very sad.
Seriously- 9 months ago I could have gone to AZ, NZ, anywhere with open borders in Asia, the Middle East, Africa, South America, Europe, and even Canada if I had been desperate enough.
When the pandemic is over, an American passport will once again allow me to go 'pretty much anywhere'.
- Great Britain has the comical Brexit and all the Nationalism that has gone with it. That have that goof of a leader too.
- Russia has Putin, Oligarchs, and corruption beyond computation.
- China has human rights violations, totalitarian government, and so much more to be embarrassed for.
- South America and Central America have continued corruption, unstable governments, unstable economies, and nationalism in many countries.
- Africa has countless countries that are rife with corruption, human rights abuses, terrorism, and more.
- Europe is littered with countries that have rampant corruption and nationalism beyond belief.
- The Middle East is...nope, too much there.
Point is- this world is full of countries that are absolute crapshows. Trump has managed to accelerate the US being a joke in some aspects, but lets not pretend like we are the joke of the world.
Glass houses and whatnot.

You seem to be a facsimile of what my phone does- pushes articles that fit algorithms designed to interest me. Its just links to websites over and again without any comment, much less substantive opinion.

9 months ago, this was still the case- you could go 'pretty much anywhere'. Gun toting Trumpers dont make the country look good, but those morons werent keeping us from going 'pretty much anywhere' before the pandemic.

I see you are still sore from livedarklions beatdown.
I am content with my view on shaming in modern culture and am not sore. Lions disagrees with me, cool. I appreciate that Lions was willing to post opinion/commentary instead of, you know, only posting some headlines.

its just bad humor.
4. The answer is 4. 3 in Europe and 1 in Central America. And while the Central American country is technically North America, it was culturally more different than the European countries so I'm counting it for your question.
So now that we have established me as a basically the love child of Carmen Sandiego and Marco Polo, why did you want to know how many countries I have been to?
Also, what is the proper number for my opinion to have value in your mind?

So you admit to being a bastard, an illegitimate child. You shouldn't be proud of that.

Here is another idiot. How is that for context.

I don't have any issue with what you said, but when did actors and actresses become 'community leaders"? I mean, sure, people are entitled to look to anyone they wish for inspiration and guidance, but I never thought that being skilled at pretending to be a fictional character (acting) qualified one to pontificate on society's ills and cures. Personally, I have enjoyed Bruce Willis and Clint Eastwood movies, but I doubt they have any substantial guidance for society at large. I guess I could be wrong.

If any celebrity or actor is a leader of any kind, that would be news to me. I don't know whether or not Randy Quaid is alive. The last time I saw him, he was flying an airplane (or was it a jet?) into the underside of an alien space craft.
My observation of "community leaders" is that they are people who talk other people into giving them money for doing nothing but talking. The phrase, "Waste of oxygen" comes to mind.

Or you could, you know, actually discuss the links you constantly plaster here without comment. Its a wild idea, but it just may be good to try.

Nope, not me. I am more than happy to let you continue to post. Its entertainment for me.
I do think its funny your post that claimed everyone agrees with you was deleted. That is also entertaining to me, but I didnt do it.
Here is the deal- You post links without any opinion or commentary and are effectively a glorified news bot.. Anyone who has managed to find their way to an obscure forum on a bike site can easily just google for news articles.
The forum thrives with discussion.
I clearly struck a nerve with pointing out how you continually offer no commentary. Change or dont change, do what you wish.
