Mid-ranged priced smart trainer with little noise
My son is looking to buy a mid-ranged priced smart trainer. He is living in an apartmement (wood construction). I am using a Wahoo Kickr Core myself, but he finds it too pricey. Is there a good trainer, preferable a direct drive trainer, with little noise and vibrations? Been looking at the Elite Suito. Anyone familiar with that or other similar trainers (600-800 Us dollars)?

Wahoo has both new ($799) and reconditioned ($649) Kickr Cores in your price range. I’d go with one of those.

Elite Direto X is pretty good. I've been using one for a couple of years. It's quiet and power is accurate. Ride feel is okay too and it has been 100% reliable.

What kind of power does your son have?
Saris H3 has the heaviest flywheel and is super stable at 1100w.
OTOH, Kickr Core is $800 at REI right now. Hard to beat that.

I picked up the Suito a couple months back when Clever Training closed up. I've enjoyed it, though I was on a dumb trainer previous, so I don't have a direct comparison to it. In terms of noise, I find it to be much, much quieter than my old KKRM.
