How much clearance between brake rotor and fork blade?

Sorry, just wanted to ask this group about it. Most every metal disc compatible fork I've ever owned has a dimple or flattening to provide clearance. A recent mass-produced frameset I bought doesn't have any shaping and the rotor is less than 1mm from the alloy fork leg.
Frankly I don't feel like that's particularly safe, but I've become very cautious in my old age.

This is from the SRAM Frame Fit guide. Seems to imply around 4.06mm from inside of the brake mount including the thickness of the rotor (which this doc specs in a different section as 1.85mm). It doesn't seem to show spec for clearance to frame/fork structure. I think it's probably a personal safety judgement call. 1mm is less clearance than I am comfortable with. 2mm would be fine. It's a pretty small window. The rear measurements according to SRAM are larger.

Would a smaller rotor help or be possible?
