My restored to new Schwinn Voyageur 11.8
Well after a ton of fun work this is the result, a virtually new '80 Schwinn Voyageur 11.8. From removing the old cracked and hazy clear coat to finding the right seat it was fun. My favorite bike shop handled the new custom spokes and re spoke and bearings for bb and final adjustment of the gearing.

Great job restoring it, it is a beauty. I would ride that with a huge smile on my face.

Awesome! I’m working a similar project on a ‘74 Paramount currently. I hope mine looks half that good! What chain/freewheel is that? Regina Oro 14-31t? I plan to go with a gold suntour to get some extra back teeth in my ratios.

Nice work! Looks like a good candidate for the Cedar Valley Nature trail from Waterloo to Cedar Rapids. Those whitewalls would get dirty though.
