Bike is in good condition. But has lived its life near the beach.
There is rust on the chain stays.
Beach corrosion...just surface on the chrome...some pitting though

12 speed.

Has Campy 980 for Front and rear derailleur
The shifters are Galli

What would the value of this bike be ??

Beach corrosion is no different than other sources of rust. The rustiest bikes I have seen were on the coast of Florida. Pitting = not surface rust. I treat a lot of rusty bikes and parts. Once the rust starts pitting, chrome is toast. It can look OK after treatment, but not really nice.

I'm usually at the low end value wise, but I would expect it to be worth more than estimate above. Need some clear pictures taken from the drive side and close up of any serious rust. Brand of brake calipers, crankset, headset, seat post, pedals?

I once showed the exact same frame here, except it was unridden with flawless paint and chrome and it was appraised at $150.
$100 for the rest of the parts does not seem unkind given the picture.

Difficult to evaluate. Condition will be important but so will the components of course. Cromovelato gets people's attention, but if it isn't in good shape, to me it could be worse than paint, which can at least be touched up some.

It is also a smallish frame by the looks of it. That will limit interest as well. I agree with wrk101, if it is in decent shape and with some good photos it will bring more than the prices suggested.

I have this low, I have a red Faggin it is not chromevelato. I can't tell if this one is. Not very good pictures. What is the tubing? Don't know the wheels, cranks, pedals, brakes, bars or stem. Not cleaned, chrome looks ok from what I've seen, the fork might be thinner on the chrome, again I can't tell from the pictures.

I have this at about $90-125 with the information givin.

Looks clean. Updated brake levers. Looks like it's been in storage a while. Sold one about a year ago in less condition for $300 and it took some time. $250-$400?

Chrome looks pitted in the one shot of the chain stays. Also, if that is actually cromovelato, it is not very obvious. Maybe it just paint over chrome, not the same thing. Perhaps it needs better lighting to "pop". As it is it looks like normal paint.

The Galli shifters are interesting. Many I've seen were all Campagnolo. Wonder what the RD is?

Be aware that there may be value in the components by themselves. Can't tell for certain, but the cranks might be Nervar.

Really dirty bike = eliminates competition (other potential buyers). I love buying dirty bikes with flat tires. But I expect a hefty discount.

if you google the bike name another frame can be found that is also titled chromelovato. frame listing
The tubeset on that one is Columbus Zeto, a plain gauge hi-tensile tubing; entry level. The finish probably looks really sharp in the sunlight.

The Galli shifters are valuable by themselves.

I am biased but if you could walk away with that Faggin at $250 you would be a happy person I think.

That's a hard pass at that ridiculous price. And the paint doesn't really look like cromovelato to my eyes. Compare with the pics that Paul provided a link to. Even indoors, the paint is amazing. Not the case on the other one. Looks dead to me.

Oh well, there's more bikes out there, keep hunting!

$900 OUCH!

Easy, pass. I do think it's chromvelato, but everything other than finish is 2nd tier of the day, Modolo brakes, Avocet cranks, the campy derailleurs are probably replacing the Galli, replaced brake levers, low level tubing.

I think the seller is very optimistic, I'll adjust my opinion upwards, but I'm right inline with others.

...one of Campagnolo's least impressive offerings. It sort of fits with the rest of this bike, which is definitely not a good buy at 900 bucks. Faggin made a number of "levels" of frame, from a fully double butted Columbus model, down to a lesser, three tubes butted Columbus model, and this one, which I have never seen before. They chromed the stays and forks on many of them, and they are usually very brightly painted. But not chromovelato, as already mentioned above.

The ones I've owned are nice riding frames. They don't get much love, possibly because the name suggests gay pride parades in the US. I like mine.
