Anybody having issues with the Canadian wildfire smoke? Maybe in VA or NC? Tuesday night the sun was a bright red ball and there were some air quality warnings here, but it wasn't that bad and I didn't feel any issues. Tonight was better, but NYC was much worse. I would not have ridden if the air quality was that bad. Might have an issue here later this week, the smoke is forecast to loop back north.

Right on target, but my normal morning ride can't happen Sunday. I'm going to have to get a few extra miles from somewhere to keep on track.

Yes! Yesterday morning in particular it was thick. Probably should have ridden with a mask. Better here today (Northern Virginia)

We're dog-sitting for our daughter again, so in addition to the 17 mile ride, I also had about 5 miles of dog walking. Forecast is for thunderstorms this afternoon/evening, so may not get in a ride today. Air quality is good though.

On Monday the roads were very wet, and having removed my winter fenders I had a lot of water and dirt thrown up on my back. Went to the bike shop near work on Tuesday and picked up one of those SKS rear mud flaps that fastens to the seat post. Kind of looking forward to using it.

Remember me? If not, that's OK, it's been a while. May was a dismal failure from a cycling perspective, I think I got one ride in all month, but maybe I've worked out how to get some riding in with my new work schedule. Anyway, I ran some errands yesterday and racked up a whopping 6.8 miles. But it's a start.

6/9 - 6.8 mi.

MTD: 6.8 mi.
Monthly goal: 100 mi.

Took a couple days off, picked up a nasty cold. Sneezing, running nose, cough, sore throat. Finally started to feel better today and figured I'd see if I could manage a ride. Went pretty well. Nice sunset over the marsh tonight.
