Hello from Florida
Hi, all. I came across this site when researching my Colnago Mexico Oro and ended up posting a thread before I saw the intros section. More of a casual biker, but looking to do more now that we are down here. Seems to be a lot of good info here and looking forward to being a part of it.

Well, we moved down recently from the Northeast and we are now in North Florida. While it is way warmer, my blood must have already thinned 'cause this cold front coming through has me more bundled up than I used to be up north! Thanks for the welcome.

I see you're from Arlington. I visit my son and his family frequently there. I can't imagine riding there though, the traffic and the streets are ... no offense ... insane. I imagine you must have your favorite safe routes and maps.

Minuteman Bikeway ? America's Revolutionary Rail-Trail
I am actually about to layer up and ride the Minuteman out to Bedford Depot Park: https://www.bedforddepot.org/
From there I will probably take the Reformatory Branch Trail (hardpack dirt) out to Concord.
You might want to check these out next time you visit your son (weather permitting!)

Welcome to BF.
North Florida certainly has winter. Got into the teens one night last winter. And anything under 60 is too cold for me to ride. Fortunately there are enough warm days that you can still get plenty of rides in.

We're over close-ish to the ocean, so got some freezing nights, but I don't think we got into the teens. Still loving the weather so far.
