Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

The group set is almost half the cost of a Di2 Emonda.

This is why I was quite happy to just run 105. It feels the same while riding. Just less swanky.

I like swank, but it wouldn’t help me go faster or further. There would be no ROI of any value.

I wasn’t when I was your age and had young kids. Took a lot of years and building the biz to get there. Plus, I had to buy my wife one too.

I started buying GM a couple years before it got delisted. I was tempted to buy some yesterday, bit was too skittish.

If riding long distance in populated areas, never pack lube. BITD, you could hit gas station trash cans and grab a quart of oil with a couple OZs left in it, now you have to dig in the AutoZone trash cans for free chainlube.

I like to let it soak in a bit before wiping. Hit the top run and the bottom run, one drop on each roller. Let it sit for half hour. Backpedal till you can see the dry spot on the top run hit the cassette. Drip both runs some more. Wait half hour then wipe. It's pretty much impossible to wipe too much.
