Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Convert .CSV file to upload to strava?

The spin bike I use at the gym allows me to save the ride as a .csv and upload to training peaks, but I can't figure out how to get it to strava. Any ideas on how to convert it to a file type Strava accepts?

I tried to do something similar to get my rowing data to upload to Strava. I never did get it to work.

It looks like Strava can read a GPX file.

Here's something to convert CSV to GPX.

Strava read standard GPS formats, which are all in XML. CSV to a GPS standard layout would be a very difficult conversion.

Hi folks,

I wrote a web-based tool that uses the official Strava API to upload activities from Excel to Strava. Maybe it helps. It can be found at

entorb.net /strava/

(sorry I was not allowed to post the url here, so I needed to put it that way)

Further features: Excel Export, details activity statistics, search for activity, starred segments overview...

Best Torben
