Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Buddy of mine is doing an ironman distance race today, his first. It is the Beach 2 Battleship. Looking at his times I hope he is pacing himself otherwise he may be in for a long day.

Hey LowCel, we are closing in on 3 million posts in the 41.

Is there going to be a celebration? Maybe a special prize for the 3 millionth post??

Then you can kill this thread and we can do it all again...

You have talked to him at slowtwitch I believe. He is the one that had his shoes "borrowed" during a tri a few months back. He is number 570 in the race.

Yep, I'm still a little bitter. There was some good cycling info in those threads, and now it's vanished into the ether...

Sorry that the volunteer mods that attempt to have the forum's and the forum member's best interest in mind don't do the things the best way you see fit. You are more than welcome to take this up with Tom Stormcrowe, Siu, or internet brands if you feel that you have been shorted or are being mis-treated.

I absolutely love donating my time and dealing with stress that I do not get paid for only to read posts such as this.

Haven't seen any yet. It should warm up to around 43 or so by the time I start my ride at 1:00 today.

LC,

You can be unhappy about my post, but you haven't disputed it. I'm sorry that the truth of it is uncomfortable. I'll take this to PM
