Out of the places I've ridden, Moab and Whistler! Oh, and the SW loop of the High Desert Trail System in Gallup, NM..

Colorado Trail above Silverton. The La Garrita Section, tried it when i was in shape @15 years ago. Lasted about an hour, was a beaten man.

What about the section above the treeline on the Barr Trail? (I haven't been there, but I hear it's dang near impossible to do w/o dabbing)

Hm, now you're making me think. Most of Barr isn't technical. Lots of switchbacks, but that's all I can think of, though it's been a few years since I've been up there (and never been with a bike). The Golden Steps maybe? They're pretty rocky, and you might be falling over from lack of oxygen!

I dabbed more times than I have fingers & toes, so I lost count.
Probably not on that list since not many people do it.

Michaux State Forest in PA has the most technically difficult terrain that I would still consider XC. Rocks, rocks, rockgardens, and more rocks.
Most people who go to Rothrock PA and ride the Tussey Mountain stuff think its pretty technical as well. I don't quite think its on the brutalness level of michaux though. Its more flowy, if you can consider rock gardens flowy.
