I have a '92 that I love. I didn't realize it had SL fork and stays. It is a stiff frame though, softened by cushy tires

I do appreciate Jim Langley's work over the decades, but Bicycling was in decline when this review was written. It could be argued that it was just halfway on its decline.
For those who never got to read Bicycle Guide back in those days, let me offer their review of the Paramount OS. It was sooo good! <sigh> Great photography, well written long articles... just wonderful!
