Dia Compe 1080 specs
Having trouble finding a front brake (one that is side pull, not center pull) for the frame/wheel combo on my fixed gear. looking at BMX brakes.
Can anyone get me the RANGE/REACH (min and mix) of the pads on the Dia Compe 1080. I think I saw the max is 105mm, but I need the MINIMUM.
Or, if you can recommend a brake that will reach approximately 62mm (ish), please do recommend!!!

This is bmx not fixed gear roadie bikes take your problems elsewhere.

Why do you feel the need to be so rude with all your replies? Just because he doesn't ride a bmx, who cares? Anyways, i am not really sure, but i can't see there being a real serious issue other then the fact that a bmx specific brake will probably look rather bulky on a road bike.

Why not use a v-brake? it would give you more stopping power, and it would fit your frame...I don't think u-brakes would fit a road/fixie frame would they?

If the reach isn't small enough, couldn't you file down the inside of the brakes where the pad goes with a dremel?

He is using a caliper. there is no brake posts, and u brake mounts aren't compatible with v brakes anyway.
