Off to Italy!
I am all packed after packing 6 times over.
I just hope I have everything.
My buddy will pick me up and 10 AM and we are off to the airport to catch our flight to JFK. If Earl is gracious enough to allow us to land at JFK and take off again, I will be headed to Milan around 6:00 PM.
The tour, which will be comprised of mostly cycling but will incorporate some trains and a couple of ferries.
We will ride in three countries Switzerland, Austria and Italy. The Swiss part of the ride looks like an interesting ride. We will take a train to Airolo which makes use of several spiral bridges.
We hope to ride the Madonna Del Ghisallo weather permitting.
The ride form Innsbruck looks very cool with a ride down the Etsch bike path.
All weather permitting of course. They were calling for snow just the other day near Innsbruck. If that is the case when we get there then we move to plan B. Sorry but I am a woos when it comes to the cold.
I hope to file a report or at least some pictures on my return.

You should have a great time. Don't worry about traffic coming too close because the drivers will but, they are use to cyclists. The roads are smaller often with no shoulder. Rode in the Alps in Austria, Slovenia, Italy (Dolomiti and Sud Troil), and Switzerland (Bernina Pass). You should have the time of your life. If you are camping the private campgrounds are 5 star. Good luck and remember keep the rubber side down. Ciao.
Oh, almost forgot. Don't worry what ever you forget you can buy over in EU. You have probably packed too much...I know I did.

I am back. Got back yesterday. It was FANTASTIC! Exhausted, still trying to recoup. Details to follow. I think I need a vacation from my vacation!

Glad to hear it was fun. Very interested in your trip, as I plan to be in some of those areas next August.

Send a PM. I would like to hear about your trip in some detail. I can't wait to go back over for a more extensive ride. I' ll bet you took too much stuff with you. Don
