Not really C&V, but people around here will appreciate this one.
Maybe not for $4900 though
And what aluminum Mavic Wheelset costs $2K?
https://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/bi...319317065.html
Beautiful Pegoretti Marcelo made for me in 2011 by Dario himself. Campagnolo Chorus 11 speed group set and brakeset. Carbon fork. Deda bars, Mavic wheelset ($2000 alone...) Low miles, well cared for, always in the house. Sad to part with but I have several bikes and am trying to share the wealth!

I took a look at the Specialized frame in this listing:
https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...6602505051399/
it
With a bit of help from T-Mar's Asian serial number pinned thread, I've concluded that it is likely a 1984 Miyata-built Allez. That's the good news. The bad is that its top tube housing guides have been cut off (seems to have been done well) and there is a bit of a ripple under the down tube. (Don't imply anything about the fork's condition given the picture below, as its headset is not complete.) At minimum, you'd be looking at frame alignment and perhaps installing a new set of housing guides. The frame was sandblasted before the seller acquired it. Whoever did that failed to remove the crown race and head tube races, so figure they aren't usable. I measured the frame quickly as 61x57 center-to-center.
The seller is asking $100 which includes the Raleigh frame as well. That guy lacks a fork, and he's big, 64cm seat tube. The head tube is 205mm.
I can facilitate if someone is interested. If you don't have Facebook, let me know and I'll put you in touch with the seller. (He's the same seller from whom b dub acquired his Radius. Seems like a stand up guy, though I don't have any history with him beyond this one visit.)

or, $75 each (Yellow one is nothing special
Vintage Viscount Road bikes - $75 (Traverse City)Two classic Viscount road bikes that look nice and ride well. Could use tires, but hold air and can ride as is. White bike is very light weight with all alloy components. Both have very cool fillet brazed steel frames and are made in England. $75 each- $135 for both!

I don't know where he gets this stuff, but he always has at least a half dozen for sale at any given time. His prices aren't usually out of line for "retail" and he never has junk.
I noticed he recently added "will ship" on some items.

Beautiful Cal Custom Touring rig: speculation is an "early Ritchey", maybe yes, maybe no, but check it out!
SF Bay Area CL, 57-ish cm, acks, Phil Wood, Brooks, pristine green paint, and some really nice detailing on this "un-named frame" $795 asking:

One pic but there are 23 more

Posted 2021-05-11 13:29"A lugged steel frame from Ciöcc, made in Italy. Pleated Dedecciai Zero Tre tubing, chromed steel with blue paint. Fork is included, no headset.
Frame measures 59cm from center of crank to top of seat tube lug. Rear spacing is 126mm. Will fit 700C tires and 23mm tubular tires just clear. Italian-threaded bottom bracket.
There are a few chips to the paint on pretty much every tube. Come and take a look. Text is best. Offers welcome.
