Loved those buyers guides...thank you for posting them! The advertisements are awesome to see...

Interestingly, they mis-spell Tequesta with an R, but it is consistent throughout...

"But on rough roads, the 564 shines. Here, the frame mutes vibrations that rock my steel steed."

You're welcome. And thank you for pointing out the error.
I would love to have learned GT's reaction to the mistake.
Maybe a correction will be printed in the Apr or May issue.

Ha! I found it in the next issue.
Hopefully GT got a break on their advertising bill.

I have that Tequesta. Somehow that rear stradle guide on the seattube has gone missing, so I had to put a slightly wider straddle on to keep the cable from rubbing.

I've got to admit. When I picked up a 684 locally I wasn't expecting it to ride as smoothly as it does. My son has it now but hoping to get it back again one day.

So you're not crossing the straddle behind the seat tube (see photo above)? Crossing the cable, as the guide allows, changes the angle of entry into the U-brake, which supposedly strengthens the pull.

But fear not! An eBay seller has TWO available, OEM used, for a mere $75 apiece - https://www.ebay.com/itm/254957517252 . Appearance / finish is a lovely Simplex derailleur-esque drying-out delrin gray.

This would be an awesome part for someone to 3D print.
