Interestingly, when Rango was in the Dog Hospital for pancreatitis, they gave him some barium - not to x-ray his innards, apparently, but to calm his stomach. This left his droppings resembling those of a very large bird.

Final update on The Black Bibs $60 bibs - I have determined that I cannot wear them while riding ANY of my bikes. I tried them with the Classique yesterday, and it has a fairly flat saddle, at least compared to the Avocets on 4 of my bikes. I could feel my butt sliding forward just a little bit with each pedal stroke, and had to keep skooching back. I ended up turning around after 2 miles and changing into a pair of Louis Garneau Fit Sensor 2's. No similar problem.
I don't imagine anyone wants slightly used a pair of XL $60 bibs, after the bad review.

I used my new $40 Black Bibs on my road bike last Thursday. They were fine. No slipping issues, and the fit is good, overall. The pad is fairly thick, but the foam is not as firm as the pad in my Voler bibs. Based on my first impression, I would say that the Black Bibs hit above their price point, and will do just fine as an additional option in my closet. I definitely like them more than my lower-end Castellis. That said, when I have all my options available, I will reach for one of my Voler bibs first.

I just received a pair of Assos Mille GT bibs from Competitive Cyclist and it was pretty obvious that they had been returned. They still have the tag and look fine but Assos packs the bibs almost like an Apple product where they are excessively cutely packaged. They are neatly folded and in a clear plastic sleeve, then wrapped in tissue paper and finally in a box. These were crammed in the plastic sleeve and barely wrapped with the tissue paper and the box was torn where it's opened.

I liked my Black Bibs when I had them... but still preferentially kept pulling out my ancient, ratty DeSotos whenever it was ride time. Eventually I just ponied up for a few more of those. The most comfort available in that region is worth it.
