Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

The beauty of riding stoned is that you get to hit all the reflectors without even trying.

Everyone IS different. I ride on Zwift like I ride IRL - alone, no group rides. I like racing, perhaps because I've done pretty well at it, being near the top of the D category. If I ever graduate to C, that might change my views! I like marking a rider ahead of me, catching and dropping them, and I like sometimes doing the Innsbruck climb, or the Epic KOM with Radio Tower. Structured workouts are kinda new to me, but I do like the challenge, if I can actually manage them.

The other thing they don't mention in this statement is the fact that these sadistic bastards have to modify their vehicles to get them to spew the smoke in the first place. I think they alter the boost control or make it manual control. Yes, they change their vehicle with the intent of blowing clouds of black smoke on others. Nice.

I have found no better way to get a straight hour of Z4 than a group ride on Zwift.

Someone tried that on me in a town in Pennsyltucky last year. Fortunately for me, I had just stopped to check out something, so he “missed.”

Sadly, I'm not the least bit surprised that this would happen in my home state.

Yes. So you know what category they automatically fit in, right?

Wut, really? 88 degrees? Usually your weather rolls our way but I'm glad this isn't.

I thought it just did that if you punch the gas pedal hard enough.

When I was a ute, we amused ourselves by making our jalopies backfire when passing pedestrians.

We've been in the 80s, too. I've actually had to mind my hydration on rides. Yesterday, I ran out of water (3 bottles) and Gatorade (1 bottle) and called it quits at 88 miles instead of pushing on to 98 miles.

Should've at least done 96.

It was only 88° here also, so I got some yardwork in.

Dug up a bunch of American agave, and transplanted a couple.

Modern diesel pickups do not smoke at all. If they emit any visible smoke when revving they fail the Cali emission test.
