Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

a) Will they even allow you to pass on the invite if you're "among a select group"?
b) How much are those Power Mirror saddles, again?

I don't know, but if you want to try, let me know.

I'll be prepping for a big federal court trial that starts on the 7th, so won't have time to sit there for 3.5 hours.

Sure, why not? If they don't have an high minimum purchase, I could use a schmancy saddle or maybe their aero road helmet. I'll shoot you my email via PM.

Lol - I just checked my email for the first time in a few hours and I see that I'd gotten an invite from them, too. :Picard:

I did not get an invite. I would be more than happy to tell them what I think, but I doubt that I am part of their target audience. They want people who spend $$$ on bikes, not tightwads.

I got the spec thing, too. If they don't have bikes to sell, I'm not interested.

Filled out the survey for specialized. I doubt I will get selected. Says you need a computer, not sure if an Ipad counts, if it doesn’t, that might be a problem, also I am suppsoe to be on a plane on the 30th. That might be a problem too.

I'll happily take a soccer mom piloting an e-bike to the grocery store rather than a 5000lb SUV.

We had a nice ride today and the e-bike couple came along but she rode her Ruby and left the motor at home. She kicked ass and even led for a while. Back when she was racing and training with racers she could drop me in the hills. It looks like she may be getting back to that point. I told her today she should sell the e-bike and she said nope.

I don't know how anyone goes to the grocery for anything other than odds and ends on a bike. When it's my turn to do the shopping, the back of the Jeep is full when I get home - usually 15 to 20 bags of stuff.
