I do most of my commuting on my 1991 Trek 400 updated with 10 speed Ultegra 6600 drivetrain. It doesn't look this good usually but this was after it's annual winter disassembly, cleaning, and lubing. Spring commuting until salt/potholes are done is on my Raleigh hybrid.

I commute on my vintage rides all the time. My only contemporary ride is my Surly Big Dummy.
A AMF Hercules that I built drum brake wheels for (Sachs orbit front hub, Sturmey Archer AB rear hub).
A 30's-40's Raleigh loop frame of some kind. Originally had an oilcloth chaincase and nickle plated chainring.
An 80'S Mercier of Super Vitus 971 tubing.
A Raleigh Twenty. I do take this bike on buses sometimes.
A 60's Raleigh Tourist.

I had a black late '70s Skyway that I used to commute on. I rode it about 30 miles a day. I probably had 3,000 to 4,000 miles on it when I sold it, but it still road and looked like new.

I posted this before but I recently modernized it with STI shifters and a few more gears:

I bought a 1974 Dawes Galaxy as a commuter/runaround when working away from home weekly for six months and liked how it rode well enough to bring it home at the end rather than sell it on. I commute on it about 50% now. I ended up duplicating the rando bars, non-aero brakes, leather wrap onto my contemporary Galaxy because I found them comfortable/liked the look.

This is one of the dry weather commuter/riders, probably my favorite.

I commute on a Nishiki Century from the early 1980s. It was originally a 10-speed, then it had a long and useful life as a 15-speed, and now it is a fixed gear.
