WV is not flat..
Picked up this 1986 Centurion Lemans RS today. A little rough, but can be fixed up nicely. I know the derailleur is broken,but the hanger is fine. This is the ad picture. Should be a fun project on a well liked model of bikes.

Just moments in front of the garbage truck. Quick decision - time for N+1. Best I can tell it was built in the 10-speed days 1976. Nothing special
Suntour derailleur, friction shift, center pull brakes, aluminum handlebars, steel rims. Spent the morning making it rideable - take off water bottle holder, frame pump holder, rear carrier thing, adjust brakes, true both wheels, pump up tires to 50lb (too much dry rot for more), clean chain, adj f/r derailleurs, slight oil on cables, free up front brake lever. Took a 2 mile ride, and it got me home.

I picked up this mid '70s PX10 from a scrapper. The closest I have to what it looked like when I bought it is the first photo which was taken after I had torn it down quite a bit. The second is the bike that I just finished restoring.

Peugot Leader. Junior racers are not very common, here or in the wild. This one was cheap enough that I bought it for my grandson, in the hope he will like it when large enough. On loan in the meantime. The only problem was that the plump Michelin only just clears the chainstays. Replaced for usability, but I did not find another whitewall, as there are few 490mm tyres available.

These were "saved from the dump", kind of. Guy bought a box of car parts at an estate auction a few years ago and found these in it. He said he was going to toss them but decided somebody might be able to use them so he did a little research on Ebay then listed them on the local FB marketplace. Never been installed and have a little shelf wear on the plastic lever covers but they are complete including the instruction sheet. There are some extra cables and a pair of braze on DT shifter bosses too. $40 for everything.

Was at the Co Op yesterday to drop off some parts they might find useful and noticed a Schwinn in the storage room. Brooks saddle, mildewed but nice. Shimano S.I.S. Crappy rattle can respray and missing the center cable guide - but I hefted it and it was very light, felt like quality. Still, I don't need more bikes, especially one that needs work like that, so I left and thought nothing more of it until my nephew called last night. I'd told him in late 2018 I'd build him a ride when he was ready and apparently he was finally ready - his timing was certainly good. I went back to the Co Op today to get the bike and only after I got it home did I realize the nice mix of parts on it - Campy Record hubs and brake levers, Campy shifters. How the heck did I miss seeing those before? I'm losing my touch...

A friend gave me this huge Fuji del REY... said he was done with it. It's in riding condition but could use some tires and a bit of TLC. Photos show bike as is.
The rims are gold in the center. Did it come from the factory this way?

Just picked this from the local co-op, at a price well within reason: a 1989 Panasonic MC4500 that is wholly original and in very good condition. Mix of Suntour / Dia-Compe components. Sansin sealed bearing hubs. It was missing the pedals so I pulled a pair of Sakae Lo-Fats from my stash. Brakes are dismal but may move to acceptable with new pads. Not sure what to do with it but may keep it because it fits and, you know, N+1...
