Hi
I don't want to design my fram on my own. I would like that some experienced user make the design (CAD) and then i let the frame manufactured in China (Titantium Frame). How is a good way to find an experienced frame designer? I have heard that the costs starts from about 80 USD to make the CAD design? Is that about right? So 80-100 USD is my budget for the CAD Design for my custom build.. Realisitic?

Carver does this, but you buy the bike through them so I assume that the price is more than that. A decent fit is somewhere between $250-500, so it seems to me that if you find someone to do this for $80, you're going to get what you pay for.
Do you have some idea what you want the design to be?

Commuter ebike with Belt Drive and Hub Motor and Titanium frame. I have time in the next 3 month so i also consider to design it myself and then let it review from an experienced designer...

I've used BikeCad. It sort of has a steep learning curve. If you've ever used any sort of CAD program you should be fine.

Start with the rider dimensions. Then tweak the template.

You could use the free version of bikecad and post a screenshot here. If you can find a stock bike you like that would probably be a good place start.

There are a few "nuts to ccrack".
First for the belt the frame must be open and second the rear hub must be capable to adjust the belt tension. Also the Hub Motor has some torque (Torque Arm) that i would like to incorporate in the frame.
I have little experience with Fusion so i will see if i can draw an cocept with fusion, bikeCad or rattle Cad. Thank's

If you are going to the expense of a custom frame, I would definitely consider a mid drive. Is this going to be single speed? The Chinese Ti builders I'm familiar with have done sliding dropouts, belt drive, and mid drive. Maybe Pinion too, dunno. The torque arm holder for sliding dropouts might be unique, but it's about 15 minutes on cad and a laser cutter, so it shouldn't be a problem.

I think you could contact Waltly or XACD and ask them what they want you to provide. Some of the lesser known builders might not have as much experience dealing with customers.

Lots of complications here

• first time designer
• complicated design
• belt, ebike, commuter

• why titanium ???
• separated designer and and fabricator

I have a Gazelle city bike. If it falls over, it leaves a dent. I have to wonder how much those ebikes weigh.

Point well taken though. There are people that build Ti bikes like this, but they don't sell $1000 frames.
