Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I swear, I only stood up for a minute to go the bathroom. I come back, and my spot has been usurped.

Just saw this interesting clip about Jim Croce and his son. The farmhouse in the old and new footage is near me and our rides go by it sometimes. And Jim is buried in a cemetery a couple of miles from where we live.

As long as I think that, that's all that matters. I hope Bailey is doing fine too.

I think a generic Gullwing would probably bring that. This one? I imagine quite a bit more.

The one in the pic was a contemporary AMG SLS that was converted to a race car. I took that pic at COTA a few years ago. A gently pre-owned road legal car will cost about $200-300k.

The 1950s era 300SL will set you back many millions of dollars.

I read that one sold for $6.8m in January and there was the one that wasn't a production car which sold for $143m or something absurd.
