Want to buy: High end Japanese Road / Touring bike
I'm looking for a nice 70s/80s Japanese-made road or touring bike in the 57cm range. If I can get 74cm from center of crank to top of saddle I'm happy. Zunow, 3rensho, nicer Miyatas and Fuji, Konno Allez, etc.

Keep an eye on this ebay seller for Zunow, Alps, other high-end Japanese rando/touring frames/bikes. I rarely see anything in 56-58cm (also my size), but it's worth checking from time to time.

I’ve got a Lotus Super Aero, which I think is among the cooler Japanese bikes, in a 56. Mostly a time capsule - a few things are “close”. A lot

This has the dynadrive pedal system, which run low as part of the aero concept. Should ride about 2cm over size, and the bars also run longer.

That’s just a little tall. So 56 or 57. I’d do a 55.5 if the top tube is 56.5.

The Miyata 58 may surprise you. Bet it has a short top tube. My miyata 1000 is a 57 and rides a bit small compared to my other 57-58 bikes. I have a fair bit of seat tube showing. I am 5’10” with average inseam. Mine isn’t for sale.

Just to confuse things, these 1000s were listed in inches earlier, and centimeters later on. Experts will chime in. An 82 I am selling is inches, and my 89 is cm. Also, measurements may be to top of post on brochures vs ctc. My 89 is same size as one in previous post and I was assuming it was a 57, but just measuring ctc on seat tube was 21.5” so around 55cm. Now I am confused on my own bike. Either way, my stand over is to recommended range, but seat tube and top tube tells me the next size bigger would work too and I am 5’10”.
