Cycling for Children's Cancer Awareness: Lunchtime at the Capitol, Feb 13

Help Team Will support the fight against childhood cancer, Monday, February 13th

Team Will is a community of cyclists of all levels and ages committed to raising public awareness and funds for childhood cancer research through a mixture of cycling activities and events. Team Will is a Sacramento-based organization, founded in 2005, and named after Will Kiefer, who was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer just after his first birthday. He died shortly after, and his family created this foundation in support of the thousands of other kids and their families who are in similar situations.

Do you know about 32 children—one entire classroom—are diagnosed with cancer every day in the United States!

Local students have Valentines ready to deliver to Sacramento pediatric cancer patients next week. So, come show your support and honor a loved one by attending Team Will*’s rally on the steps of the State Capitol next Monday. At this event, the members of Team Will will receive a Senate Resolution from Senate President Pro Tempore, Darrell Steinberg, in honor of their dedication to this cause. They will share a few words and then ride over to UC Davis Children’s Hospital to hand-deliver Valentines, bringing love and support to the courageous children and families there affected by cancer this Valentine’s Day.

Cancer does not discriminate. It spares no ethnic group, socioeconomic class, or geographic region.

Best Regards
Tom
