MKS Pedal Set - Looks Like NOS...

Anyone have any idea what a pristine set of MKS pedals might be worth. I plan to offer them on the For Sale forum as soon as I can figure out approximate value...

That's more than new ones go for. $20 locally, if lucky. That's in snow pesos.

Not sure that I know what snow pesos are but I would appreciate a link to where you got your information from. I looked on Ebay and Amazon, but could not find prices for $20.00 a set.

Nicer Nos VG condition MKS pedak prices are up most nicer vintage pedal prices have gone up recently. I would say a fair BF's is $40-50. Note shipping cost on items in this weight range have gone way up Canada to US or US to Canada so weigh and check shipping online before you list don't be surprised i if in the $20 range.

Randy, I don't use quill pedals (feet too huge) but if those were the Sylvan Touring model I'd be all over it.

Would you pay $20 for a set? Snow pesos are what you call Loonies.

No offense meant, but these sold for $50, which would you rather have?

It should also be noted the not as nice new ones listed on ebay while MKS branded and same design are unknown unmarked manufacture maybe even knockoffs while these are Japanese built with the fully marked cages which brings a bit of premium.

Pay Randy $40 then, or even $20.

Old MKS pedals aren't worth much. The new ones are better.

I'd be happy to get $20 on a local, cash sale, even in snow pesos.

I'll tell you what, the new MSK Sylvan Touring Next Pedals I ordered for my Guv'nor were spendy but sooooooo beautiful. And Amazon has raised the price on them $15 in about a month,, what's up with that??!!

Interesting term and, being Canadian, I must say that the name is new to me. For those who don't know, we call the one dollar coin a Looney because it has a picture of a Loon on it.

As for the no offense meant, fair enough. And which would I rather have - a pristine set of MKS pedals or a scuffed up set of Campy pedals. The choice would depend on what kind of bike and what condition it was in.

The question about which pedal I would choose is moot since I would use neither. I run SPD pedals and nothing else, even on my wall hangers...

I did take the time to check out the sold items on Ebay and was surprised at the prices the pedals can fetch. That said, I would be happy to get forty bucks for the set but will probably offer them, on the for sale forum, for less than that with the hope of helping someone who needs them.
