Is Starbike.com the only source for this rack? if there are other sources why not just return the rack to Starbike and get the rack elsewhere?
Which version of Pletcher racks are you wanting? There are a few models. As usual the lack of greater info prevents us from being as helpful as we might be. Andy

Try contacting Pletscher directly. Contact (pletscher.ch) They may help get this straightened out or offer you the missing parts for less $$.

"We can source the 66/133 mounting kit for Pletscher carriers ( EAN 7612616040177 ) within 3 business days. Normal price for that article would be 8.15€ + 31.51€ shipping. Sinnce we haven't mentioned in our description or pictures that these parts are included and stated clearly "Without mounting material" in the product description I cannot send you these parts for free.". 49 dollars total.
that's like buying a car without a steering wheel and charging extra for it.

Try contacting Pletscher directly. Contact (pletscher.ch) They may help get this straightened out or offer you the missing parts for less $$.

UPDATE we were able to fit the struts in another plate we had in our spare parts. Now we're just waiting on the seat stay attachments from carson city and should be all set. Thanks all for your input

I saw this when I was looking for one but the following deterred me but as I found out starbike did the same thing but didn't mention that part . Not Included Mounting Material.
In hindsight buying from this place would have been easier because they do have the mounting rear stays available and everything would have come in one package but as it was now trying to buy the parts cost more than the rack itself with shipping.
BUT It's been resolved I got the part here for 12 dollars from a different rack manufacturer but the exact same thing for 12 dollars.
so no need to continue this diatribe, it's been resolved.
