Shimano Rd-m700 Rear Derailleur problem

I figured I lost the stop pin of this deer head RD, but it's worse: the pin broke off and damaged the raised edge around it — or maybe that edge gave out first? I basically like to know what the options are to save it. Is it worth it to try and drill out the remainder of the pin? How about replacing the cage? Any other stop pin hack?

The one in my parts bin also has the pin broken off. Not sure if that was a common failure with super plate models.

I would probably just swap out the whole derailleur, unless the bike was all matching XT M700 deer head stuff.
