Got this bicycle with a front wheel set of 24x1.75 and a 16x1.75 rear wheel. What I retained from the original bicycle was the frame. Installed a Suntour shock absorber and wheel set of 26x1 3/8 and rear wheel of 18x1.75
Rims and spokes are stainless steel. Nexus dynamo/brake hub and 3-speed IGH for the rear wheel. Original sticker is Silky II but since I can't search the net for the original brand and model I decided to name it Scorcher after all the changes I made.

i've been calling it a softail bobber (was thinking paint it flat/semi gloss black, white walls, etc.) but now seeing yours, maybe i made something that already has a name. i just don't know what it is.

My Grandfather rode a bike set up like that back in 1912. It was made by Columbia or Pope I believe and had wooden rims with direct drive. It was designed to keep away the stray dogs that roamed at that time. It sold very few and was dropped from the line. He flipped his over and put a seat on it but had to pedal it backwards to go forwards.

I haven't posted an update of Fugsley in a long time.
Dahon folding bike with Harley Davidson tires and OCC STingray frame parts and a water ski rack thrown in.
You can see the entire build diary on Rat Rod Bikes here

Here is the frame with no tires.

And with tires

Thanks man. That is actually a water ski. I painted the top of it orange and then bought the skateboard grip tape and cut out some hot rod flames on it before I laid it over the orange.

If you want to see how much fun this bike is, check out this video of me running down tourists in Savannah.

My guess is the bike is one of the confiscated bikes (illegally parked) form Japan which are shipped to the Phillipines and sold through different sources. This style bike is somewhat popular with the trendy young women in the city here in Kyoto. (20 - 26 year olds)

I've been around BF for a while. One day I stumbled across Alt Bike Culture. This is what happened:

Was: boring 1981 Raleigh. Now: 2012 Comic Book Bike, red cloth bar tape, wine bottle cork bar end caps, Campy brake levers, Shimano Arabesque shifters, Snake bottle cage, Tire Savers. It took me all Winter, several bottles of wine, (not to mention the comic books). When it warmed up, I hit it with clear coat. Done on the cheap with trades. A super fun ride.
