Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I doubt if my doctor ever heard of a CAC score. She's an idiot, plain and simple. But she's what the system gave me. Hopefully she rotates out at some point. During her vacation we actually get some thoughtful care.

Yeah. I really like his version of Little Wing. Frankly for me it's a toss up between his and Hendrix's.

Hawaii is awesome. I assume Spain is as well but have never been.

Years ago, I worked with a guy who was so bummed by SRV's untimely death that he said he almost wished it had been him instead. I went out and bought a couple SRV CDs, and after listening to him, I told him I agreed that I'd rather it was him than SRV.

Garmin has that as a benchmark to try to hit. Yes, it’s usually finished on Monday, when the week starts.

I've been on the bike around 15 hours per week lately. Not sure how much of that is moderate or intense. And some of it is sitting around. This past Saturday I'm sure there were more than 75 minutes of intense.

I could be a case study of what not to do.

At least to Garmin, it’s HR - I’ll sometimes get a few minutes of “moderate” at the start of a workout.

That's just a reference to the calcium deposition. There, as in the coronaries, it's a tissue response to some kind of stress, presumably inflammation. Maybe brother @datlas knows more.

Yeah, moderation in all things. **** that for a game of soldiers!

Compulsive exercise is undoubtedly less risky and better for my relationships than what I would be doing otherwise!

I go by how much I'm bleeding out of my eyes. That counts as intense.
