Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Mine was shipped to the dealer and built at the dealer... by me.

Vintage Trek

What's up guys, I am not a crazy bike rider, but I grew up riding my moms old 1980s trek mountain bike with my dad and throughout college I used it. I kept it in pristine condition tuning it often at the bike shop through the years and it became a little sentimental. Unfortunately last week it was stolen from my apartment garage, so I bought a used bike off craigslist with the same frame and was super excited, but it needs most of its parts replaced, even the crank shaft. I don't need charity, but if anyone has any gently used or new parts for an 820 trek antelope for sale at a decent price, as well as some knowledge on how to install them I would be extremely grateful. I would like to try and rebuild my moms bike without breaking the bank completely. Any help would be appreciated

Hello: I'm new here. I stumbled into this forum and saw all the beautiful Trek bikes here.
I have a new new Allant +7S.
Can't wait for spring to ride it. Right now the roads at home are salt covered. I don't want the bike to rust to will wait until a good rain or spring.
I need to accumulate 10 posts before I can post my photo,

Hello! Well start posting and let’s see your new beaut! I actually updated my original bike and may have a pic or two in this thread. I sold it to a riding friend in 2018 so that he could upgrade and now have my Speedvagen. Loved that bike though!

My old but well upgraded 2.3. Logged a few thousand miles on it but I have to say......that hydroformed aluminum is quite jarring esp on 23mm tires at 120 psi. All the rage when this bike was new.

My new Domane SLR6 is a freaking magic carpet. I bought the Viper Red version for several reasons. It has the Zegafredo team sticker, it says Project One on the chain stay even though its not through project one and red is always the fastest color !!

I really like Trek bike and have several through the years

We have a few of those viper reds in our area and they are absolutely stunning. I don’t know how folks continue with 120lbs in their tires, I would imagine that any bike in any material would be jarring lol!

Still, I think the hydroformed aluminum bikes are pretty cool.

like my original post said, come one come all! Although back at that post gravel bikes were cross bikes (of sorts) Trek had some beauts, but yours is far nicer!

How do you like the Allant +7? Started looking at getting something electric for my wife so she can keep up with me better and as well as extend the distance she can ride.

Haven't posted these here before so since this is revived.

These are the two Trek's I currently have although they are a bit older.

1999 Trek Y-Foil found as a NOS frameset and built up with Ultegra 11 speed just a couple of years ago.

As bought

As I had it built up

How I'm running it now

Then last summer I picked this up to turn into a light, decent climber with it's triple setup.

18 lbs 5 ozs in this configuration.

Three of about 10 Trek bikes I own, I’ll add the others when I pose them for pictures.

Speed Concept

Stache in the woods

Emonda in the Caladiums.
