This is a thing of beauty - I love the pristine, original finish!
Here's hoping the new owner gets many more years of enjoyment from her

My son and I are starting the rebuild today.
We went on a mini part buying spree last week, and have all sorts of goodies on their way to set this Super straight.
DD and I think it's probably a 1978, and that is very close to the bicycle's former owner's assertion as well.
I'm sure we'll get it all figured out by spring.
That gives me enough time to talk DD into a little drillium for my son's bike.
..and to all of the new Colnago owners coming aboard C&V, please add your bicycle's pic to this thread when you get a chance.

My first and only Colnago. Unrestored but cleaned up 1983(?) Superissimo. Missing some original parts but it is mine.

I just re-rebuilt my Super, changing a lot of the parts for ones I milled and drilled.

Otis, looks great!
Did you clear over the EM panel? I have a set of GS' decals that I was thinking of putting on a re-finish of a 74/75 Super and my painter was really concerned about clearing over such a large decal.

Well, as of now I am working on throwing together a set of temporary wheels (finally got a truing stand). I have an old set of tubulars I'm going to use but I need to lace a 10 speed hub to the rear one. After that I just need a cassette and a jtek shiftmate (I'm not going to use a campy cassette because I want the wheels to be compatible with the rest of my bikes). I was all set to buy all of the stuff I needed but then I had to buy a bridgestone RB-1 that popped up on craigslist

^ Oh, yes - the Grail Bike; I hear you! I'd have stopped production for my Grail Bike, too.
I suspect we'll see the Superissimo in her updated form soon enough. This thread will be waiting for her appearance

[QUOTE=SANTE POLLASTRI;13671932]No, no it's fine here in Holland.. although the frame is maybe a bit big for me. Great paintjob and lugs though. I nearly bought a colnago, but the owner discovered while packing it that the bb shell was cracked. Bummer!

The paint on my frame is original as well right? because the former owner bought it in belgium like this as well?
Yes, if I sell it, i will need some good money for it, because I love it myself as well!
What would be a good price for such an beautiful frame do you think?
