Multiple bikes - Same Saddle?
For those of you that have multiple bikes, how many have made sure to have the same saddle? The bike I've been riding all winter on the trainer has a much different saddle than my primary outdoor bike. This is the first winter where which I've logged a significant amount miles indoors and I'm wondering if the adjustment is going to be difficult come springtime.

I ride 3 bikes year round. two have the same saddle. the road bike has a Brooks. the riding on the road bike is different enough from the other two (hybrid & MTB) that having it's own saddle is insignificant. one can only guess about the difference between two road bikes w the same body positioning. are the two bikes the same overall aside from the saddle?

I find that to some extent at least, saddle choice depends on the bike (presumably due to its unique geometry). Almost every bike I have has a different saddle. Two have Brooks B17 saddles. One is very comfortable. The other never really has been.

The bike that I'm thinking about getting another saddle for is my new endurance/gravel bike which came with a Bontrager Arvada saddle. It's significantly different from what I've been riding all winter.
I'll tell ya... If I was SMART, I would have replaced the Aliante with another one of the same, since that's what I was used to. Furthermore I would have put another once of the same on the new bike. I'm pretty disgusted right now as I think I may have made a mistake with the Antares. Too soon to tell though as it may simply be a matter of breaking in my body for the new saddle.

The springtime adjustment might be noticeable, but I don't think it'll be difficult. It'll be just like the transition you made in the fall from your outdoor bike to the trainer bike. I have four bikes that I ride equally, year-round. They all have different seats. I think that's variety enough that the various muscles and tissue that I sit on has adjusted to the slight variations in their shapes. Before...when I rode only a couple of bikes...my butt would feel the difference when I'd add in another bike/seat. Sometimes it still does...when I'm traveling and ride a bike with yet a different seat.

Currently have 5 Special Ed Toupes in service, my new cross bike frame already has one ready, so that will be 6 in total. Then I have two other S saddles so theyre kinda similar. They're on road bikes and mtbs with fairly low bars but the higher bars get wider saddles than the lower bar ones.

Saddles that fit perfectly can be hard to find. When I find a model that really works for me, I use it on both of my road bikes. That also simplifies setting the saddle fore/aft position and saddle tip to bars dimension. I set the saddle fore/aft position first, then the saddle tip to bars. I do not use KOP to set the saddle fore/aft.

I have the same saddle for the 2 bikes I ride the most- a gravel and road bike. My positioning on them is the same/similar.
2 other road bikes have different saddles, but the dimensions are similar to the main ride saddles since my positioning is the same/similar.
My MTB has a totally different saddle as my positioning is much different and I use the saddle differently than my drop bar bikes(constantly on the off the saddle over and over).

Using the same Sella Italia Turbo saddle on the road bike and touring bike as the body position is the same. On the mountain bike I used a Turbo saddle, but then changed to the Fizik Aliante when I went to a more upright full sus rig because it came with the bike. Assuming the body position is the same or very for all the bikes, there is no reason I can think of to not to use the same saddle on all of them.

I have 8 bikes with nearly 8 different saddles. Some are Brooks (Professional, B17 with Ti rails, B17 narrow, Swallow) and some are plastic for my mountain bikes. The plastic ones are usually Selle Italia Flites but I also have some Serfas saddles thrown in there too. I use the plastic ones for mountain bikes. I can’t get off the back of the saddle as easily with the Brooks and I find them too slippery for mountain biking. I never have a problem switching between saddles, however.

Variation in grade of the same saddle - Specialized phenom. My butt is pretty much saddle agnostic, though a selle Italia flite gel bit my ass good some.

Mostly Brooks B17s, a couple of Brooks Pros, which are similar to B17, one Cambium, also similar, one Ergon, one Prologo Evo, which may "Evolve" to a Cambium soon.

In my race bikes a have specialized power , in my commute bike I have a padded saddle, in door trainer is padded, the biggest difference is the race saddle feels more free and easy .

My preferred saddle is a Specialized Riva, long out of production. I have one on each of the bikes I regularly rider. Occasionally ridden bikes have whatever they came with, which I can usually tolerate for short rides.

I have a dozen bikes, so putting my preferred saddle on each of them is cost prohibitive. I do have my preferred saddle on 4 of them, and thinking about getting a fifth this year.
