I once saw a 753/531 version of a space frame in downtown Boston. Left an indelible impression on me about both engineering and manufacturing excellence. I would bid on on one of these…

PX-10's as well, race bike in their day, all around comfort now days.

Here's one I have as found, still languishing but PO obviously put plenty of upright miles on it.

This one looks well worn - I love those PX10s but they are basically impossible to come by here. Loads of other Peugots around, but none of the PX variety. (as far as i can tell)

Nice find!

I do quite a bit of credit card touring on its cousin, my 531 DB Austro-Daimler Inter-10. Which looks very similar. I like it a lot.

Yep you're right, it had been sitting a long time before I got to it, Prugnat lugs instead of Nervex a big downer for me but its my size and was dirt cheap, has most of the good original bits excpet BB and crank.

The HS, cable clips, SP are all original and in good shape, the rest are great upgrades, Superbe brakes, Deerhead RD, Campy hubbed wheels, cool racks, etc.

Where is "here" ? Plenty of these come around and PR-10's, LE's and others can be had too, are pretty nice/good as well.

Look for forged RDO's without chrome on the rear Pugs, they are 531 main tubes and ride nicely.

Very cool! those inter 10s are weirdly very rarely seen here, despite the fact that all other types of Puch/AD are all over the place. This exact model (at least in terms of colour scheme) I saw at the bike exchange where i got my Royal force, but for only 30€ cheaper. And i figured, i might as well go for the one with all Dura Ace
What type of front rack is that?

Minor point, but I believe that Peugeot used Nervex "Dubois" plain lugs, not Prugnat. Somehow Prugnat lugs are prettier plain lugs, to my eye (especially the long-point ones). I have the same frame, in blue too; 63 x 59 cm.

Surprised that it took 50+ posts for the P15 to be mentioned.

Tx!

No worries, no bball, I was so uncoordinated and couldn't have cared less about it.

I'm actually only a little over 6ft. but have a 38in. inseam.

The Paramount is one of only 2 that are truly big enough although I have many that work ok despite being a little small.

I tend to ride taller than my inseam would predict. Funny how we get used to and comfortable with sizes.

If "ride all day" is a qualifier, I'd submit my Austro Daimler Ultima 531. Only problem is that it has a shortage of mounts and eyelets.

I suspect the Royal Force and Inter-10 (and a number of other Puch and A-D models) all share the same frame. So yeah, a wise decision.

The front rack is a T.A. item which bolts directly onto a MAFAC caliper. I just mounted another one on a Gazelle Campion Mondial Semi-race (another nice 531 touring frame, BTW), which is currently under construction:

Motobecane Le Champion. Another French metric Reynolds 531 frame that is not suitable for loaded touring, but makes a good randonneur.

I find if you can figure out how to tour with front panniers and a saddle bag these bikes tour well. Loading the back end sucks to me.

Yea.. I was considering a front load, but i only got braze-ons down at the axle. Not sure what I will be going for.. Front racks are quite expensive too
