First bmx
Not sure if I'm in the right forum but I have been looking for my first bike from childhood. Was an early 90s huffy torque 480. I remember that bicycle vividly. Don't care what ppl have to say about huffy, I LOVED that bike. had that bike from about 4 years old to about 10 years old. My search has come up empty, the only mention of a huffy torque 480 is when someone in Florida had one for sale last year. Tried contacting the guy with no luck. I've come to the conclusion that I won't find this bike as its not really valuable or collectible in the bmx world. My next option was to find a huffy with similar frame. I think I found what the torque 480 was based on, the huffy racing 50. Frame looks identical. Only difference I see is paint scheme and rear bar on rear of bike. Unless someone has an old huffy torque 480 laying around this is the closest I will ever get to my childhood bike again. Going to be ordering it this week. Will update pics when I get it.
If I could only find this bike
This will have to do. Only difference I can see in the frame is circled.

More differences I noticed after hours of comparison. Does anybody have either bikes frame dimensions?

Hey I just picked up a Huffy torque 480, just like the one in the picture, black and with the same color scheme bar pad and chain guard. I came across your thread while googling it to find out about more about the bike. If you're near south central Wisconsin, maybe we can get you your childhood bike back.

Sp1990, feel free to PM me. I guess as a newbie I'd need 10 posts before the forum will let me PM you. I picked up the bike because I dig old BMX bikes, but I'm not attached to it and I'd rather get it to someone who'll appreciate it more.

Hey Dr. Lou, sorry I didn't get back until now. I've been going through my bikes and wanted to see if you were still interested in the old BMX. The forum won't let me send or read PM's unless I have 10 posts. So I can't see the PM from you. Let me know a good way to get in touch with you because I'd much rather get the bike to someone who would appreciate it.
