Thanks for posting the vid.
I had no idea this was going on in Emeryville.
Fantastic, I had to email the Mayor.

Folsom has a ton of bike stuff. We have a "mayor's ride" every year during bike month but I couldn't tell you if the mayor rides a bike any other time. We have a city council & city manager kind of arrangement, and the mayor is honorary only rotating among the council members.

The title edit works within the post on the title that appears to the right of your user name and you can give each of your posts a title if you want, but the thread title remains what it was when you hit send unless you ask the staff nicely to change it

Lefty,
You are indeed correct, the Title will change in the 1st post, but when you enter the forum the old Title persists in the listing of threads.

Nice bug

Barry

Well, it's correct now. When I typed ride, I wasn't trying to be rude, lol.

This is a great interview, and really surprising to me given that I've always thought of Emeryville as a giant mall. Goes to show how self-reinforcing the view from a car is.

I remember back to a time when Emeryville was a stinky, industrial eyesore. The waterfront was full of trash to the point that people would make sculptures out of it. I’ve been very pleased to witness the turnaround which came about through lots of hard work and against the efforts of the naysayers.

The title of Mayor is merely symbolic in Emeryville, but bravo to the guy for making it meaningful and fighting the good fight. Everyone in the community benefits from his advocacy.
