Got myself a Simplex chainguard today. It will probably go on the SilverAce with its 5-speed IGH when I replace the cranks next month or so, so I can keep the derailleur version of that chainguard for another bike. Got the mounting brackets new from this seller on eBay.

I will probably try to buff out some of the scratches and polish it to a mirror finish before covering it in clearcoat but we'll see how it goes. Paint might be another option here.

Pretty excited to get this box... 26"x2.1" Rat Trap Passes for my drop-bar MTB conversion, to replace my 26"x1.7" Naches Passes. And I went ahead and ordered 650x38B Loup Loup Passes for my rando bike, looking ahead to the 2023 PBP season.

Ten meters of grey housing. Can't find it it local, and much cheaper than if the lbs orders it for me.

Yes, I am. Still rounding up bits for the frame proper. I will have to secure brakes (direct mount center pull) and at least a rear wheel (8sp freehub) soon.

Not much here yet, but I did start a Flickr album.

50's Oscar Egg Randonneuse, mostly original, it’s missing the Simplex TDF derailleur and chain guard, but the parts are on the way.

I got a couple of Park taps from Jim Merz last week.
For BOC followers, this arrived (old sticker shown for comparison):

Our friend @Mad Honk gifted me with serial #00001 of the new BOC sticker production run, plus another goodie. Woohoo!

Unfortunately, they had the lowest price. I don't like purchasing through amazon, but sometimes it's just too convenient.

Assioma Uno pedals for my Aethos.
They set up easily and I was quickly tracking my power and cadence on my Garmin 830.
Very cool.

Oh, I get it, if we save on that stuff, we can talk ourselves into spending it elsewhere, N+1 or 10 or 100 or......

I've been lucky to get by with homemade chasers so far, saved about a dozen BB's over the years.

Made several, passed some on, payed some forward.

Finally added some bolts to work them better and they work better than ever.

Yay, Campy Nuovo Tipo low flange rear hub (36 hole, 126 OLD, English thread) from Ebay for £30.

Rolls hub, hmmm a bit graunchy ... takes axle apart: dry old grease. Degreases, cleans cones: NO WEAR ON CONES OR RACES
Edit: both lock nuts say 1981.
