try "Fire in the Hole" or "Comfort to the Enemy" ... Fire is a great collection of short stories and Comfort is a Novella with 2 short stories included and as for movies 52 Pickup is great as is the novel ..................

My favorite movies based on Elmore Leonard books/stories are:
Out of Sight,
Jackie Brown, based on Rum Punch,
Get Shorty,
3:10 to Yuma, IMO the original 1957 version with Glenn Ford is better than the recent remake with Russell Crowe.
The stories, books and movies mentioned are much more believable than the imagined scenarios some posters tried to weave out of the real life tragedy of the slain couple.
