1971 nishiki road frame 62cm
Cleaning out the garage to make room for some new projects. I've got a tall frame early '70s nishiki, I believe it's a semi-pro. I painted it recently so none of the original decals are visible but looking at other bikes I've seen, the semi-pro is the best match. The frame is not in the greatest shape, with a few nicks and rust spots here and there. But nothing major and no dents or cracks. I've ridden this bike for over 10 years and I love it but I'm moving on to bigger and better things, and I want to see it go to a good home.
Asking $100 but flexible
willing to ship
Located in Santa Cruz, CA
Will include bottom bracket, headset, sugino cranks with chainrings, and a compe stem. I also have an assortment of nice vintage parts available separately that would go great on this bike including a Shimano Crane, Shimano 600, suntour V-GT luxe etc. I still have what I believe to be the original front wheel, but the rear wheel is missing and the one I have for it is not period correct for this bike.
Pros
Stylish lugged early '70s Japanese frame
Very light
Wrap around seat stays
Rear rack mount
Cons
No derailleur hanger
No braze ons
21.1 fork
Chain rings are pretty worn, 44t and 48t
High bcd crank won't take much smaller than the 44t chainring
Will post pictures and additional details soon, if you're interested in shoot me a message.

I sold this one, but I've got a slightly larger Nashbar here that is actually a lot nicer. https://sfbay.craigslist.org/scz/bik...479188924.html

I wasn't sure I could fit the 62cm, but a 64cm is definitely out.... Looking for a frame to put all the components I have stashed away.. I live in Santa Cruz as well. Lucky us!
