Trek 990 frame and Rock Shox fork
I’d like to sell this frame and fork on Craigslist. The 990 was Trek’s top of the line chromoly mountain bike in the early 90s. I believe this one is a 1990. It has True Temper ATX double butted tubes. A small frame, 16.5”.
The Rock Shox is first generation.
What would be a reasonable price to ask?

Not having the original rigid fork and being a small size hurts the value some.
I'd list at $200 in my market and expect it to sell around $100-$150. Your market may vary.

I would say around $100 also. Very nice frame but to get really good value you would need to have the original fork and the matching stem finding a stem that will work nicely for the current fork set up is going to be a pita which hurts value.

I think that's a Rockshox RS-1, the first. Just looked, one sold for 150 on eBay. May still be 100-150 that you'd get for the frame/fork. I'd probably have to hang on to that fork though.

I listed it at $100, and it sold within a week. Just got that one call about it though. So I’d say you guys were “right on the money.” Thanks again.
