I continue to enjoy riding the single speed mountain bike conversion. With its low gearing , I can do more spinning.

Bought an inexpensive heart monitor watch to were while riding .
From what I’ve read , my maximum heart rate while exercising should stay between 78 and 128bpm . With a max of 150.
If my Willful Smart watch is correct , my max heart rate today was 89bpm , way under my max

ditched the cheap heart monitor. Slept with it last night and showed I had a spike in my heart rate early this morning but my HR never got over 90bpm after climbing two hills this morning.
I haven’t been feeling any symptoms for AFib . Tests are Wednesday, and hopefully, I’ll know .

I've been trying to watch my HR through the nights with my Fitbit, but it never really shows anything beyond my average resting rate. I tried using my Wahoo TickrX with a Heart Rate Variability app last year, but I could never really get good reliable info off that. It's only been 3 years since my cardiologist sacred the excrement out of me. My resting HR at that time was 105 to 110!!! Currently it is averaging 57 according to my Fitbit. I'm looking at a Garmin Instinct Solar to use Garmin's "Body Battery" feature. It looks like a simpler way of reading HRV.

My cardiologist cleared me for most any exercise and HR. But I've imposed a 170 limit on myself during this heatwave... I have to work pretty hard to get it there as it is. Not bad for a 58 year old guy that used to be fatter...

Good luck with your cardiologist!!!

Thanks !
According to what I’ve read my target HR for my age (70) is 78-128bpm ,
I’m hoping the tests don’t show any blockages . That way the doc can get on with a plan for treatment .
Im ready to get back to riding whatever my knees will allow .

MTD: 26.2 mi
Goal: Who knows?

I'm on the boards! My doctor upped the ante on my weight loss program, so I figured I'd better get serious. We'll see how long I can keep it up.
