I have also used these on one of my roadbikes: Happy Hands Handlebar Grips - Duracork - Planet Bike

Very comfy, half the price.

They look nice, but how durable are they?

EDIT: Never mind, well out of my price range.

The Ergon GC1's have lasted 5 years so far with minimal wear. Very high quality construction.

The Planet Bike DuraCork grips are new to me - about a year old? So no durability data yet. They are especially nice when riding bare-handed. With gloves on, they feel like any other cork grips; soft and comfy.

Yeah, those DuraCork look nice. Sounds like the Ergons are worth the $$. I have Rustines grips on my Princess, and they still look like new. Well, maybe a little grimy; I should clean them.

New to the stable. 1996 ProFlex 756. Deore XT group, Girvin fork and someone already updated the polymers to springs. Should clean up very nice. This is my second ProFlex this year.

If they had Bikes like this when I was a kid I'd be Dead By Now lol. I loved to jump for Distance and destroyed no less than 50-60 Cheap bikes doing so. Living poor in a Flat Sandy place on the east coast I was a late teen before I saw my first MTB lol.

What's everyone's cable and housing preferences? I'm looking to move from the bulk stuff I've been buying off eBay/Amazon, not that they've been bad, to something "nicer."

I don't think I've ever heard of a Deore DX Pro bike.

Deore DX (could be spelling on my part? ) is the Shimano gear set on the bike. The Pro is the only name on the bike I can find.

^^^^^ Is there a head badge? Looks like there is. Also appears to be some branding beyond "PRO" on the downtube.

I'm am the lucky owner of six vintage MTBs which I'd like to share. The Kilauea is currently getting much better paint and decals from yours truly but like many of us, the stable keeps getting tweaks to improve. Hope you like some of these. I'll do one or two photos only of each:
1990 Bianchi Sika

1993 Cannondale M800 (Beast of the East)

1996 GT Zaskar

1993 Kona Kilauea

1987 Ritchey Ascent

1996 Rocky Mountain Vertex

Jagwire is pretty much the standard for good cables & housing. You may be able to get it in bulk.
