Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Yesterday evening, we got a notice that they'd be doing some utility work nearby and the that water would be turned off today, from approximately 8am to 1pm. The wife has gone all prepper and is currently filling up the tubs with water so that we can flush the toilets. I thinking, "damn - how many times are you planning on pissing or ****ting in that 5-hour window?"

If I want to listen to something, my trusty clockradio is set to NPR.

If you're going to bring a phone into it, listening to auto news makes little sense. Glancing at the screen for a few seconds will tell you what you need to know, and what warrants more in-depth review.

If it's yellow, let it mellow.
If it's brown, flush it down.

Ditto. Verizon is best in my area. T-Mobile is not so good unless they’ve changed in the last year or two.

No holding tank? Must have made for hygienic swimming in those anchorages!

Best solution is a hand-held bidet. Works great. Costs 10 bucks. I have one.

I can't imagine the need to pay attention to any of it. Canned music.

Holding tanks, but supposedly sensitive heads. Paper in the trash can was the rule. Supposedly.

Only dumped offshore.
