Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like : "Unbound Gravel". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

Thanks. I just took the High Sierra out last weekend for an imperial century ride on the GAP trail in Pennsylvania. Very comfortable. I had some 26 Rubino pro slicks (40-559), and installed them for this trip. No problems with it whatsoever.

Built this up last Fall, a SBC 6061 all-road. A couple changes here and there. Most recent were the Goodyear F1 32c tubeless tires and a Rotor INPower crankset. Once the hand built PWB gravel wheelset gets here, it’ll finally see some non-paved terrain.

^ quite the aggressive gravel position in the drops. dont see many full bend bars either.

Love the rootbeer color(or whatever they call it). And the tires look great- I almost bought a pair of 32s for my main road bike a few months ago, but punted on risk and just bought some slick GK tires. Those Eagles look sweet!

Thanks. I always try to finish off any of my builds with bar tape that plays into the bike but also stands out on its own.

Thanks. SBC has some great looking framesets/bikes but its just too bad their geometry is a bit on the wonky side.

I built these up with GK 38s and recently pulled them off because I wanted a more road specific, faster rolling tire. Plus, the GK 38s will be going onto the PWB Kinlin-gravel wheelset once it gets here.
These F1s are exactly what I was hoping for. As a long time fan and avid user of Schwalbe tires, these F1s have left a very good impression. Good enough that I might even pull off the Addix 30c tires on the Helix and replace it with F1s too.

Gravel bikes are just '86 Ritchey Ascents?.... Maybe with a Microshift Acolyte 8 speed setup using a modified old "Deer Head" friction shifter and a Surly chainring. And some Soma Oxford bars. Willing to consider less aggressive tires when the old Ground Controls wear out. For now they actually roll pretty well.

The purpose of this bike is just for getting the mail, short impromptu rides on the local gravel roads around my house. For proper adventures and longer rides Ive got the Gorilla Monsoon.

Is that 700c in the back and 650b up front, or is the perspective messing with my eyes?

Just got a 2021 Specialized Diverge E5 elite 56cm (aka no future shock with GRX 2x10) I hate high stack up on my bike and this one is upright enough w/o the gizmo under the stem.
added WTB venture tires in 50c, tubeless. Transformed the bike soo much on the dirt, only done a few miles on pavement with these tires so jury is still out. 35psi front, 40psi rear to try things out.

I really dig this build! I like how you matched the bar tape and sidewalls as well.

Rainy day in Sarasota today. Project Mayhem is almost finished.

Swapped out the bars/stem,brakes/levers,wheels and cassette and removed the ugly frame decals.

Test ride around the neighborhood was great, exactly how I wanted it to feel.

My Orro Terra C. Due to bike supply issues, I ended up with the more road oriented model (full 105). I have since swapped out the crankset to a 46/30, and a slightly bigger cassette. It has 2 sets of wheels- Fulcrum Rapid Red 900s with 40mm Hutchinson Touregs for gravel riding and bikepacking, and DT Swiss E1800s with 32mm Pirelli Cinturato Velos for commuting and winter riding. The second pic is a bikepacking gear test on my commute (hence the road tyres). I haven't yet had a chance to go off-road with it yet, but hopefully soon.

I have posted my Rivendell previously but I also have my Trek Domane that I use with different size wheels and tires.

Wheels and tires are 700 x 35 Rene Herse Jon Bon Pass Endurance casing. They do plump out to 37 mm which is about the maximum this bike will take in 700.

I also have a pair of superlight Stan's carbon rims built with White Industries hubs. Tires are 650b x 42 Compass (Rene Herse) Baby Shoe Pass extra lights.

I was supposed to be on a little touring adventure this week, so I converted my gravel bike to more of a touring rig. Swapped on some Panaracer Gravelking SS in Pansy Blue. Trip was cancelled, so it looks like this will be my new gravel set-up for the summer.
