I know those parts!
The Atax stem came from a ‘78 PX10, the 3ttt from a Bob Jackson Tourer, the road deraileur was thrown in as a freebie by a man I bought a pair of wheels from, the brakes from a Cannondale tri bike poorly converted to a fixie I found in a pile of abandoned property outside a military barracks in Pearl Harbor, the pulleys came from a 90’s rig that had a bunch of period aftermarket trinkets, and the deraileur in the bag came from a ‘98 Cannondale F2000 that belonged to one of my mountain bike buddies when I lived in Guam, I traded it for a much more boring and conventional high normal Deore. Last seen the BOC was resting in the frozen tundra of greater Boston. After several hours spent thawing the box out, it was opened.
This is what us Crapateers call "the reveal"
I pulled out the crap one bit at a time, separating the keep vs the return on our kitchen island. Conversation with my wife:
SWMBO: "Are you playing that #%*&@ box of crap game again?"
Me: "Yes ma'am."
SWMBO: "I want that crap out of here and in your shop ASAP!"
So it went. There was a lot of great crap this time around. Might be a record haul for me.
Tasty crap!
I never seem to have enough SPD pedals, so I took this pair. I hope they still work. The Campy cable guides are absolutely needed for a new Eroica/Cino build, the presta valve dingus will go on my floor pump, which is falling apart, I've got 3 bikes that use the brake shoes, the Carlton branded brake levers are for the Eroica/Cino bike, the bike side of the decaleur will get paired with a spare bag side I have, and the mud guard is needed on one of my bikes. Oh, and @Andy_K will be jealous that I now have a Takara Man catalog, whereas he spent big bucks for the NFT version.
Whatta haul! And still some nice crap left over. I'll need some time to go over and pull out some of the borked crap to make room for some nicer crap I've been
Folks, make sure you go through the decals, stickers, pins and bike patches in the folder, lotta good stuff there along with several BOC stickers left over from the previous series.
@RustyJames, give me a day or two to cram old and new crap into the box, email me and set up a date/time to pick it up so I'm forced to do my duty.

@gugie, I figured you'd go for that mud flap! It's one thick piece of leather. You could probably eat it if you end up stranded and starving.
I stashed a few other bits in there that I thought you'd might take, but now they'll be moving on instead. The best things are the things I included that I have no memory of ever purchasing (like those Truvativ Ashtabula adapters).

The Carlton hooded Weinmann levers came from a ‘73 Gran(d) Sport. The SPDs from a very low mileage ‘01 Schwinn Moab 1. The brake pads had been around a long time and I can’t recall exactly how I came to poses them.

Being a newbie to the BOC ritual I didn’t want to diminish the reverence of the occasion. Popping a champagne cork was too optimistic so some candles and low lights before opening seemed appropriate.
