On my old Viscount:
That shop's no longer there, I'm afraid.

This sticker was found not on the seat tube, but on the drive side chain stay of an 86 Fuji Palisade.

Here is one that I have been meaning to post for a while. I love the simplicity of it.

Stone's today looks more like the way it did in the 1970's than any other shop I know of in the area. Dennis Stone still runs the place, and it still has plenty of C&V eye candy.

I'll have to get a picture of the remains of the sticker on my Gazelle. Maybe one of our Dutch patrons will recognize it.

This shop goes back 90 years and played a huge role in the 6 Day racing scene in the 30's in Toronto. The sticker was printed in '68.
It's still there, stop in and say hello to Fern. She doesn't really care about bikes any more. Just filling in time between cigarettes.

East Coasters is sooooo expensive. I always hated going to Hokie Spokes when I was in town but definitely couldn't afford to go to East Coasters and pay for Architecture studio supplies too.

I believe that this restoration shop went out of business about 15 years ago and they might have been located in Madison Wisconsin. They did some paint job on my Basso -

This sticker from Mountain Bike Specialists in Durango, Colorado is on my 8 year old daughter's 12" 1995 Barracuda A2Z. The bike belonged to one of the Barracuda Dos Equis XX team riders, Eric Sakadinsky, I found the frame and fork online and had it shipped to me, I built it up and it was an 8th birthday present earlier this year for my little angel (her first 26" wheel bike). Mountain Bike Specialists has been around for 45 years and is still going strong. A cool bit of Barracuda trivia, the shop owners owns the Barracuda XX team semi trailer, the one that would go to all the races. The trailer is behind the shop and he uses it for storage. I think that's a cool piece of mountain bike history, plus it's nice to see a LBS keeping the memory of a local brand alive!

Hah! I wrenched at Garners' Pro in Palo Alto for a brief time in the late 80s. The Garner brothers were a set of identical twins, and the one who ran the Redwood City store was a mellow stoner, and the one who ran our store was an uptight a#$h#$e. I have no idea what the bros are doing now, but I know the stores are long gone.

My Fuji came from there as well:
Noticed there are a bunch of old Sunnyvale bikes that have surfaced on this thread. I'm hoping for an Aardvark Bicycles sticker. If one of those surfaces, I'd gladly plaster it on one of my rides.

Mike (He went by "Mick" when I worked there) died of a heart attack in 2002. I believe Rick sold the shops and now has a bike shop in Oakhurst, CA. There was a third brother, Tom, with whom I have fond memories of working at another bike shop in Palo Alto.
